Are you looking for a new Internet service provider? |
I have been using MindSpring for over two years now
with hardly a problem.
If you are looking to leave a service provider or
escape from AOL give MindSpring a shot.
What do I get out of this? |
MindSpring has a referral program. If you join
up and say that I sent you (veunad@mindspring.com) after 30 days I will receive 10.00
off my next bill. I save a little money and you can get a top notch service at the same
time.
I access MindSpring from Atlanta, GA If you are from
any other local then you will still need to do some research about the quality of access
in your region and whether Mindspring is accepting new customers in your area. MindSpring
is not shy about saying that they have too many customers and need some time to upgrade
before then can take on more users.
Have I had any problems with them? |
Yes, two. Twice I have had to call the tech support
line to have an extraneous piece of e-mail deleted from my account. The e-mail boxes have
a 2MB limit so if someone sends you a file over that size, it can create havoc with your
ability to access e-mail. The other was one of my e-mail clients had marked a message as
read, but did not delete it from the server. This wreaked havoc with another e-mail client
I use on another machine. Both times it took about 10 minutes to get the problems taken
care of.
Have I received busy signals from MindSpring? |
From MindSpring, No. From BellSouth, Yes. All access
problems in my area have been attributed to the local telephone company not MindSpring.
