Veunad Au'lilten (View-nad Ow-lil-ton)

You may have asked yourself, "Who is Veunad?"

Veunad Au'lilten started as a wizard in GSIII (Gemstone III). This was many years ago when Simutronics first opened on AOL, where it was previously only available on GEnie. Veunad was one of my primary characters in Gemstone. I initially set-up a screen name on AOL for E-mails and instant messages. Simutronics then moved their products on to the web. When I created my account with Simutronics I entitled it Veunad since that was my primary character and screenname on AOL.

Since then I have started to use Veunad for my accounts online. Veunad is no longer just a wizard from Gemstone III. He is now one of my faces on the internet. Veunad now has his own corner on the internet. He will display items and information that are of particular interest to no one but himself.

Is Veunad still active in GSIII?

No. Veunad did not survive the migration to the web. He stayed on his side of the fence and was left behind when Simutronics purged their character databases in approx. July 1998.

Veunad made a small appearance in DragonRealms when it first appeared, however he did not like the DragonRealms version of Elanthia. He chose to stay in Gemstone. Nestev Au'lilten was born in DragonRealms. A shade of the same spirit of Veunad just located in a different timeframe in the realm of Elanthia. Nestev has also a small section on the web. Nestev's Corner exists only as Nestev's eye into DragonRealms.

Veunad does not only exist in medieval periods, he has been seen as a marine fighting against the Strogg in Quake II. He still appears there every now and again when the network is kind. (NOTE: The network has not been kind as he has been kicked down to 26.4Kbs as a maximum throughput. The telephone company is far from stellar in this area.)

Future information on Veunad's Adventures will follow.
